Seagate IronWolf Pro NAS Hard Drive Setup to hard drive connection

Hard Drive Connection:

  1. Before starting, place the Seagate NAS close to router.
  2. Connect the NAS and the router using a standard Ethernet cable.
  3. Next, connect the NAS to an electrical outlet using the supplied power adapter.
  4. Wait for the device to turn on automatically.
  5. Once the Seagate NAS power LED stops blinking, go to computer.

Seagate NAS Setup:

  1. Make sure to login to computer as an administrator and connect it to network.
  2. Launch a browser and go to the Seagate setup page.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions and create a name for the NAS device.
  4. If you are a new Seagate NAS user, create a Seagate Access account for remote access.
  5. Configure the RAID settings and adjust the time zone.

Accessing The Seagate Network Assistant:

For Window:

  1. Click the Start menu and select All Programs.
  2. Select the Network Assistant option from the displayed list to launch it.
  3. Alternatively, right-click the Seagate icon on the taskbar and select Open Seagate Network Assistant.
  4. For Macintosh:
  5. Click the Go menu and select Applications.
  6. Double-click the Seagate Network Assistant icon in the Applications folder to launch it.
  7. In the Seagate Network Assistant, choose device and select the share that you wish to access.
  8. For private shares, you will be prompted to enter the administrator password.
  9. Now, you can transfer any number of files from computer to the NAS drive.
