- Connect your Seagate Central unit to your network router. Plug the AC cable and then power on the Seagate Central unit.
- On your Mac that is connected to the same network, go to the Seagate Central Setup website. Now, you will be taken to the Getting Started web page.
- From this web page, you can begin setting up your Seagate Central as well as your Remote Access account.

- Once you have typed in all the essential information, click on the Done button.
- Now, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address that you have provided on the Personalize page.
- Open the email and then click the confirmation link. This action will activate your Remote Access account.
